PRONATEC launches cocoa processing in Switzerland

We are delighted to announce that we are setting up a new cocoa production facility in Switzerland for the processing of cocoa beans. From mid-2022, we will be processing cocoa beans into organic cocoa mass, cocoa butter and cocoa powder at our new site in Beringen in the canton of Schaffhausen. The semi-finished products are an important key ingredient in numerous foodstuffs, including chocolate, beverages and various confectionery and baked goods. Cocoa butter is also widely used in many natural, high-quality cosmetic products.

As before, our focus with the new plant is on organic products. Our small production batches will give us optimum flexibility to produce specialities such as single-origin cocoa mass, low fat cocoa powder and semi-finished products with multiple certifications (e.g. EU Organic, Bio Suisse, Naturland, Fairtrade, Fair for Life etc.). In time, around 40 new jobs will be created at the new site in Beringen.
