Sustainability

We have been committed to fair trade and environmentally friendly agriculture for over 45 years. As a matter of conviction, we source our agricultural raw materials directly from the producers wherever possible. Over 90% of our raw materials come from controlled organic agriculture and a significant share is also fair trade certified. Thanks to this stance, PRONATEC is making a major contribution to sustainable development every day.

Nevertheless, we are not resting on our laurels and are committed to further improving the sustainability of our work on several levels. We have set ourselves the following sustainability goals:

Purchase of raw materials

We promote the environmentally friendly cultivation of food and are eager to improve livelihoods for smallholders’ families and processing staff in the producer countries.

Transportation, processing and storage

We are constantly working on minimising transport links and energy consumption for processing, storage and packaging. We prefer services from partners who use sustainable processes.

Headquarters

We have designed the headquarters and processes in an environmentally friendly way and the employees benefit from fair and modern employment conditions.

Public relations and commitment

PRONATEC is actively committed to all aspects of sustainable food supply.
